filled…

After a trip back to Oklahoma for a few days, we have a lot to be Thankful for! Yes, we celebrated Thanksgiving and that always helps people be thankful.  But I’m in a state of shock at how blessed we are!

A huge thank you to the amazing women who threw us our shower.  We had a blast!  I’m so thankful for the friends and family who are pouring blessings and prayers over our little one.

A huge thank you to our friends and family for gifts to our baby girl.  I can’t believe how much she already has and she won’t be here for three more months!! We were very blessed with all our friends and family have given us. We’ve been getting lots of stuff in the mail everyday for her! So much fun!!

A huge thank you to my brother & sis-in-law.  They gave us bags and bags of clothes!!! Our niece will be 10 months older than our baby, so she’ll be outgrowing clothes as we are ready for them.  Couldn’t be better timing :) Thankfully Taelyn is a spoiled little thing with tons of cute clothes!!!

A huge thank you to Marty & Nancy for doggie sitting our first born! The hard part about going to visit OK is having to leave the pup behind, and we’re so thankful for people willing to take in the famous Jack Bauer James.

An extremely huge thank you to Lee Jackson.  Our trip to OK wouldn’t have been possible without the huge blessing from him.  We met Lee on our trip to Israel this summer, and had a great time getting to know him and his son Wes.  When we were stranded in Atlanta after Israel and disappointed that we were going to miss a couple extra days with family, he promised to help get us home at Thanksgiving.  And he totally followed through! What a great guy!! Lee, it was great to see you! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!

In the words of my mother-in-law….I’M FILLED :)

He likes it!!!

We’ve taken Jack to the beach a couple of times but not for long, and that got him adjusted well I think.  Today we took him for a while and he LOVED IT!! It was so funny to watch him run around and play.  He was so excited.

It was about 75 degrees today and so nice! I can’t help but brag to all of you that are in freezing temps right now in OK and Texas! HAHAHA!!

Here are some pictures from our day at the beach today and a video of Jack and Brook playing…

Jack's Big Day

It all started out with sleeping until about 5pm like he loves.  Then we went to Petco.  He actually likes Petco.  Petsmart, not so much.  At Petsmart is where his doctor is and Petco is where he gets toys and treats.  Amazing how he knows the difference.

So we got him a new pig (his favorite toy in the world), a very cool preppy boy polo shirt, and some bacon treats.  Then off to the dog park.  Where he refused to play with other dogs and begged us to take him home so he could play with his new pig.

He had a great day and thanks everyone who told him Happy Birthday!

And contrary to popular belief, or pastors who think other wise (uhhh Craig…), Jack will be in Heaven.  He believes in Jesus and even prays with us.  Better believe it :)

Jack turns 2!

Today is Jack Bauer’s Birthday.

No…not this Jack Bauer:                       This Jack Bauer:

Jack Bauer James to be exact.  Now you tell me which one looks tougher.  That rubber chicken never stood a chance.  If you don’t know us, we’re the crazy people that treat our dog like our child.  I know a lot of people don’t understand that, but 5 minutes around this kid and you would understand why.  He’s basically the coolest dog of all time.  Not that I’m biased or anything:)

We are taking Jack to Petco today to pick out a new toy.  He can’t wait.  We might even take him to the dog park… except he’s a huge snob and doesn’t like to socialize there so we’ll do whatever he wants to do.

And yes he knows it’s his birthday.
