this is my influence.

I’m sitting here trying to wrap my mind around this past weekend. How my world was rocked. I attended a blogging conference. But not just any blogging conference. This wasn’t your “learn about SEO and network” type of event. Yes, I walked away with a LOT of great information, but I also walked alway with my heart completely overflowing. I loved and was loved. I saw JESUS in the faces of each the women I met.

And their hearts were exploding with the good news.

About 6 months ago I was ready to hit the delete button on this whole blogging/social media thing. I was just over it. I was over the drama, the competition, the hurt feelings. I have a crazy sensitive heart, and it is hard for me to get THIS vulnerable and get close to people I don’t “actually know”.

And then The Influence Conference came. When the girls emailed me to ask if I would be interested in coming on board with this brand new adventure as one of their community leaders, I just knew right away this was going to be something different. After praying about it and talking to my hubby, we just knew this was something God was calling me to. Wow, I glad I said yes!!

Yes, we had a fun weekend. We ate too much, slept too little and learned a lot. BUT for me it was about the community. I’ve had several people ask me what my favorite part was, and by far it was making connections with these women.

Influence1

Taking my online relationships to real life friends.
My sisters in Christ.

This is a family. A place where we leave our stats at the door, and become the same. A people that whether you have a mega ginormous blog or you just logged on to the internet for the first time yesterday, we are equal.

Your influence matters, and if you touch the heart of ONE person, that’s all that it’s about.

Influence2

I’m still trying to figure out my thoughts and how amazing it really was, and honestly I’m not sure my heart will ever fully grasp how amazing this community is. I’m just thankful to be a tiny piece of the puzzle.

The exciting news? We’ll be back next year!! If you are interested in attending and getting a super early bird ticket at a crazy low price, there are only a few of those on sale today!

There are more exciting things to come in 2013 with this community of women.
Get excited, y’all. This is the real deal.
