Have you heard of One Word? A pretty cool concept. You choose a word to focus on for the year. The last few weeks I’ve really been praying through what this year hold for our family and the best way to lead our children. Praying God would give me a verse or two to focus on and some direction.
The word “Stay” kept coming to my mind. But not in the way you usually think of the word stay. I don’t plan to stay the same. I want to grow and learn. But I feel like God is calling me to stay in a different way. To stay the course. To endure. To persevere.
We aren’t in an ideal place right now in our life, but God has called us here and placed us here for a purpose. So I will be still. I will wait. I will endure.

I wrote the longest comment on someone else’s blog just this morning about this! My word of the year is blessings as I really need to focus on the blessings in our life. Too often I get caught up in the pain of Endo, HG, not feeling able to have more kids etc and forget to think of the absolute blessing of our son, who we hoped for but didn’t know if we would ever get him. I have so many blessings in my life, from my family and my husband through to the opportunities that always seem to come up when I am ready, NOT when I want them

I couldn’t agree more. It’s so easy to get caught up in what is next and not focus on what is NOW. I get this way so often. Prayers for you that you will be able to focus on your precious blessings and be content in the now! Hugs!
